The members of Chosen Witness have a combined total of over 100 years experience in Southern Gospel Music.  The group’s desire is for their enthusiasm for spreading Christ’s message through song to be apparent in their music.  Chosen Witness ministers through mostly original material but they also include some traditional favorites as well.  Below is a little information about each member of the group.

Mark Jones (right), originally from Belk, AL now resides in Gordo, AL.  Mark plays piano for the group and has written many songs that the group has recorded.  Mark began using his musical talents in Southern Gospel Music as a 15 year old drummer for the Columbian Quartet of Columbus, MS.  Since then, God has molded Mark into an extremely talented piano player and award winning songwriter.   Mark owns and operates his own carpet business.

Johnny Duren (left), originally from Gordo, AL now resides in Steens, MS.   Johnny sings the baritone part and has written several songs recorded by the group, including the title song of the groups third recording "Somebody’s Been Praying For Me".  Johnny is a gifted singer, musician and award winning songwriter.  He says, "all I’ve ever wanted to do is sing".   His desire is to encourage and uplift the body of Christ through song.   Johnny is a carpenter by trade and currently an instructor at a junior college in Mississippi.

Greg Harrelson (right), of Columbiana, AL, takes care of the bass part.  Greg grew up in a small country church atmosphere where gospel music was a major part of each service.  Originally from Louisiana, Greg has a sense of "cajun humor" that you are sure to grow to love.  Get him to tell you about his cousin Boudreaux sometime.  Greg is the head of the masonry division of a large construction company.

Loretta Champion, (left) originally from Columbus, MS has been living in Alabaster, AL since 1989 (shortly after she married Neal).   Loretta sings alto and comes from a musical family background.   Her smooth classic country sound truly compliments the groups sound.   She has been traveling and singing for over 16 years.   Loretta takes care of administrative tasks for the group.   

Neal Champion (right), originally from Millport, AL has been living in Alabaster, AL since 1989 (shortly after he and Loretta married).  Neal sings lead for the group.  He has been involved in Southern Gospel Music since the age of 14.  Neal is a computer consultant.

Daniel Key (left), of Calera, AL takes care of running the sound for the group.He seems to never tire when he is working to see that another concert comes out just right. You will see Daniel taking care of all sorts of duties before, during, and after a service or concert. Daniel served time in the U. S. Navy and now is employed as a project manager for a large construction company.
